‘The Cats’ to vie at Flicker’s Rhode Island

Iranian short film ‘The Cats’ is slated to vie at the Flicker’s Rhode Island Film Festival in US.

The film directed by Mohammad Rasouli, will represent Iran at the main short film section of the 25th edition of the Oscar-qualifying event.

‘The Cats’ narrates the story of a girl who has recently ended a relationship and is living with her two cats during the coronavirus pandemic quarantine.

Mojdeh Daee is the only star of the short, also written and produced by Mohammad Rasouli.

The Flickers’ Rhode Island Film Festival is a qualifying festival for Best Short Subject through the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for August 9-15.
